Support Needed for "Put School Counselors Where
They're Needed" Act

FYI. I constantly hear from many of you about large student/counselor ratios. Here’s
your opportunity to support the first federal bill to do just that. As part of ASCA's
National School Counseling Week celebrations (Feb. 4-8), we are pleased to announce
a collaboration with the National Association of College Admissions Counselors (NACAC)
so we can reach as many school counseling professionals as possible across the country.
The goal is to spread the word about your good work to legislators on Capitol Hill.
ASCA needs you to urge your representatives to support the first stand-alone bill featuring
school counselors. Please contact your representative today and urge him or her to sign-on
to and to co-sponsor the "Put School Counselors Where They're Needed Act" (HR 3439).

Use NACAC's Legislative Action Center (http://capwiz.com/nacac/home) to contact your
member of Congress today and urge him or her to sign on to this important legislation as a
co-sponsor. Please forward this to as many colleagues, friends and parents as possible.
Let Congress know how many people are affected by the works of school counselors.
Thank you for your support of school counseling.
