Pressley Ridge in Ona, WV, a residential treatment program for ages 13- 17, is seeking a Full-time Therapist. The Therapist assures the implementation of effective individual, family, and/or group therapy, clinical assessments, treatment plans, provides training, and support to other treatment staff. Master’s Degree in Human Service Field, Licensed or Licensed Eligible, and one year of experience clinical work with trouble youth, and their families, Valid Driver’s License and Insurance, Proper Clearances. Pressley Ridge in Parkersburg, a residential treatment program for 61 youth ages 12- 17, has an immediate opening for a temporary part time Therapist, who will work at least 20 hours per week. $20-$30 per hour based on experience. Job Description

River Park Hospital has a full-time position available for a Therapist on its Adult Psychiatric Unit.  The Therapist will provide clinical services, e.g., assessments and therapy for patients and families, complete treatment planning and documentation in medical records, serve as a member of the treatment team, and work with external entities to provide information and plan for continuity of care.

Successful candidates will have clinical skills for the population served, knowledge of lifespan development, ability to work cooperatively with patients, families, staff, external entities, and physicians, the ability to document care consistent with policy and procedures, and excellent customer service skills.

Job Requirements

A Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology and a valid WV license or license eligible and under clinical supervision is required.  A certification in addictions is also required.

Special Note:
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, Master's degree preferred. Must have at least one year of counseling experience, documented experience working with the disadvantaged, strong written and oral communication skills, sensitivity to the needs of the target population, strong time management skills, flexibility to changing program needs, experience with Microsoft publisher, comfort with data analysis and technology. Willingness to work some weekends and evenings is critical to the program. Preference will be given to applicants from a first-generation college and low-income background.
Duties: Prepare and motivate youths in grades 6-12 who are from first generation, low-income families in Cabell County to pursue a post-secondary education. Provide academic, personal, financial aid and career counseling. Travel to target schools to provide services to program participants during academic school year through various activities and trips during the summer. Publish on-line newsletter.
